Photography tuition
If you are looking to learn more about architectural or landscape photography, or want to hone your skills in these areas, I am now offering one-on-one and small group practical photography tutorials.
Course content
Courses are structured to address the needs of the attendees, whether that is a basic introduction to the features of their camera, tips on composition or how to shoot at night. Or more advanced skills such as using tilt-shift lenses, taking panoramic shots or HDR techniques.
Locations
Courses can be held anywhere in the UK. Suggestions for locations include the Newcastle Gateshead quayside, Manchester and the Salford Quays, the Northumberland coastline, Whitby, and the Lake District.
Costs
Half day courses are £99 per person (max 3 per group). A full day, including lunch, is £150 per person. For locations outside of the North East there will be a additional cost for travel.
Requirements
It is recommended that attendees have a digital SLR camera and tripod, though a small amount of equipment is available for hire.
To find out more or to book a course, please drop me a line or give me a call.
Testimonials
Richard Beaumont - Whitby and Robin Hoods's Bay in February 2010:
"An inspiring day out taking in a variety of differing landscapes in and around Whitby & Robin Hood's Bay.
The day was spent learning the best approach and camera set-up to be able to take better landscape photographs. Before going I was a little bit worried that I would not have enough understanding to be able to 'keep-up' with Steve, but he is very approachable and made me feel at ease and understood my basic knowledge of what I was trying to achieve.
I now feel much more confident and have been out more in the last week than the last two years. Simple things I was doing wrong have now been changed and I now feel like I have a much better understanding of what I am doing to be able to capture sharper and interesting shots.
Loved the low light shooting and can not wait to get back to the coast for more of the same!"
