This year I switched my running shoes for a camera, and headed down to the Tyne Bridge to get some snaps of the 2008 run.

This year's run saw beautiful blue skies - ideal for a few shots of the runners and the Red Arrows.  I've added a few to a new Great North Run gallery on this site.  I will donate 5% of all sales from the gallery to Cancer Research UK.
